Gabe and his wife, Alex, moved to Washington, DC from Kansas City, MO in 2012. While Gabe has Down Syndrome and Alex has Cerebral Palsy, neither of them have ever let that slow them down or stop them for pursuing their dreams. As young adults, Gabe and Alex have already accomplished so much. They live in a sky rise apartment close to Downtown. Gabe is currently working at Harris Teeter Supermarket. He loves making his own money, working with customers, and being a part of the Harris Teeter family. Gabe’s hard work and great customer service was recognized in August 2017 when he named employee of the month. In additional to being a loving husband and hard worker, Gabe is also a passionate advocate for people with disabilities. He graduated from self-advocate leadership training, has testified at several council hearings, and has presented at numerous conferences. Gabe and his wife love going to the movies, concerts, and plays. They have traveled all over the United States visiting friends and family and seeing new things.
